Résidence de 6 mois, débutant en avril 2017, pour tout/e artiste travaillant sur les images en mouvement afin de créer une œuvre qui sera montrée pour la première fois au Festival de Berwick du 20 au 24 septembre. Date limite : 9 décembre.
A bursary of £8000 as well as private accommodation and studio space in Berwick-upon-Tweed are available.
The residency is an opportunity for a moving image artist to create a new work in Berwick that will benefit from any of the following:
- a) the possibility of spending six months with Berwick as base with support from Berwick Visual Arts and Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival.
- b) the context of Berwick and the wider county of Northumberland.
- c) takes its starting point from the Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival 2017 programme, Ultramarine.
Applications should demonstrate an initial concept, project or way of working that responds to any or all of these possibilities.
The residency is open to artists currently based in the UK and Europe and have permission to work in the UK and the applicant artist must have been out of college (BA graduate) for a minimum of 3 years, or have fully completed an MA and/or PhD.

APPLICATION DEADLINE is Friday 9th December 2016 at 5pm (UK Time)
Shortlisted artists will be invited for interview in early January 2017 in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Travel expenses will be reimbursed for those artists who are based in the UK. Artists not based in the UK will be invited to undertake an interview via Skype.
